Vision | Mission | People | Beneficiaries

Vision: The Northwest Chocolate Festival brings people together with the methods and makers of chocolate for a fun festival of learning and tasting.

We promote the Northwest as a premier region for high-visibility artisan chocolate that competes in a world-class of premium chocolates.

Mission: Our mission is to bring farmers, producers, companies, and consumers together to taste and explore the rich world of chocolate from sweet to savory - from traditional European preparations to ancient Mesoamerican uses of chocolate. Our goal is to educate, demonstrate, and inspire the chocolate lover in everyone.

We bring a hands-on contemporary understanding of chocolate to the folks who eat and cook with it through engaging workshops and classes. We are bringing regional chefs together to showcase their talents in a Regional Chocolate Competition with judges and awards.

We are hosting an opportunity for Chocolate Makers, Chocolate Educators, Chefs, Candymakers, and Chocolatiers to directly impact, inform, and impress the refined and amateur chocolate lover. The people attending this 2-day and 2-night general public event can learn about chocolate as a health food and as a decadent dessert.

The Northwest Chocolate Festival Event will serve a socially and economically diverse community living here in the Pacific Northwest.

There will be kids and family focused (all-ages) hands-on activities with chocolate.
There will be many opportunities to engage, learn about, and taste chocolate.
The World Marketplace and Chocolate Education Center are free for the public.

Beneficiaries: Our beneficiaries will be two non-profit organizations that are focused on helping farmers and families that grow the food that we eat and enjoy everyday.
