We are excited to welcome Chocolate Lovers from all walks of life to the heart of the great Pacific Northwest for two days and two nights of pure chocolate decadence.

Join us for tastes in chocolate, a gala celebration, cooking classes, chocolate demonstration, and award winning speakers and presentations...All on Chocolate!

Whole Foods presents the Salud Kitchen for the Northwest Chocolate Festival featuring Northwest Bakers and Chocolatiers in a great series of demonstrations in chocolate culinary arts.

Saturday Chocolate Demonstrations in the Salud Kitchen

10:00 a.m. Best Cupcakes in the world tricks and tips with Elizabeth Strong, Head Pastry Chef and Culinary Mind behind CupCake Joes in the Pearl District. Come and sample tasty cupcake treats and learn some of Elizabeth Strong's tricks for making Marshmallow frosting and more.

11:00 a.m. Brother Bliss Vegan Gananche with coconut creme and essential oils. Taste some of the most decedent vegan confections on the planet and learn the secrets of Brother Bliss's Vegan Gananche from one of the most dedicated natural ingredient confectioners in the Northwest.

12:00 p.m.Chocolate Art on Confections will be a class focused on using natural ingredients for decorating confections and chocolate edible masterpieces. Sit alongside master confection artist Brother Bliss as he demonstrates techniques and recipes for natural chocolate art.

1:00 p.m. Baking the Best of the Northwest Brownies at Home with special guest Baker. Learn the main variations on the classical brownie and then see our featured baker's preferred techniques for baking the best brownies in the Northwest from home.

2:00 p.m. Chocolate Cake the Baker's Way. Let's look at one great recipe for ultimate chocolate cakes. Join our featured guest Baker for this tasty and delightful demonstration of chocolate cake baking tools and techniques.

3:00 p.m. Tasting around the world.The chocolate lands. We will sample chocolate from origins around the world in blends, inclusions, and single origin bars. Journey around the world in chocolate with your taste-buds and a handy chocolate origin tasting chart. Join us for this special tasting in the Salud Kitchen upstairs area.

There will be a special tasting preview for the Northwest Regional Chocolate Competition at Whole Foods at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday. Come and taste the awards before they happen and sample some of the regions best in chocolate!

Then Join us at the Gala Celebration Party, doors at 6pm, music at 7pm, awards at 9pm.
